When Your Child Leaves the School

If your child leaves the school before the secondary transfer age, because you are moving for instance, it would be appreciated if plenty of notice can be given to ensure a smooth transition for your child.  Your child’s details will be transferred to the new school electronically.

Transfer to Secondary Education

At the end of Year 6, our children transfer to Secondary Education.  This is normally Holyrood Academy, an outstanding school in Chard with whom the school has close links.  A great deal of care is taken to ensure a smooth transition for your child.  Parents are invited to visit Holyrood School and children will spend a day and a half familiarising themselves with their new school during the term before admission.  A teacher from Holyrood visits Ashill with old pupils to meet all transferring children.
